Demo 0.1.1
Clearer controls, fairer dodges.
Our first playtesters found a tutorial blocker and several things that needed a better explanation. This update focuses on getting you into the adventure with fewer surprises.
Fixed
- The helmet-dodge tutorial now lets you retry after a missed dodge, including after reloading your save.
- Ghost-hand hints stop while you perform the action instead of continuing to point or changing direction.
- Weapon hits still register when a collision abruptly stops or reverses the weapon.
- Enemy and reflected arrows now stop at stone walls and obstacles.
- The dagger description now matches its behavior: it pierces enemies, but bounces off stone walls and crates.
Clearer controls and rewards
- A larger Pause button opens a control guide, available in English and Polish.
- New tips explain using your helmet or glove to rebound a returning weapon.
- Loot guidance explains why the glove matters: collect treasure before it scrolls away. Clearing a room gathers only what remains.
- Total carried gold now has its own HUD counter below the tray, where equipment cannot cover it.
- Mouse guidance makes the throw clear: drag and release quickly. Clicking alone does not attack.
A little more time to react
- Archers charge for 1.25 seconds, up from 1 second, with a more visible red aiming line.
- The Dragon pauses for 3.4 seconds between attacks, up from 2.8 seconds, giving you more time to aim between dodges.
This update is for the standalone First Expedition demo. The website and itch.io offer the demo again, rather than the full prototype.
